As you may have read in my free report, I am very much a believer in natural solutions to health. After a very long period of dealing with bandaid solutions to frequent upper respiratory infections and neck problems, I learned about healing the whole person and dealing with these issues to eliminate them to a large degree and have greater overall health. I recently received an email for Dixie who has had to deal with seizures and was taking the drug Topamax. Taking Topamax for her seizure control, she started to have kidney stone problems. As a matter of fact, she had 5 in one instance that she could not get rid even under the care of a kidney specialist doctor.
Six years ago Dixie started taking the drug Topamax and after 4 months she had the 5 kidney stones. No matter what doctors tried to do the stones would not go away. It was under the care of a specialist dealing with her seizures that a decision was made to take her off of Topamax. After this, her kidney stones went away. Unfortunatly, this is so typical of many of the powerful drugs out there. Mask one symptom and cause a myriad of others to mask. And the vicious cycle continues. By the way, you can read more about Topamax HERE.
Negative side effects on the kidneys are possible with many drugs out there. Some which I found to be of interest are Ibuprofen, Crestor, and cancer drugs.
I remember when I was in the Navy and had to go to the doctor, the solution almost always seemed to be virtually the same, “Have a drug!”. In many instances it was a pain killer, such as Motrin. The roots of the problem were never dealth with however. Ibuprofen, sold under the name Motrin, can cause acute kiney failure as reported on the website http://www.livestrong.com/article/135407-ibuprofen-side-effects-kidneys/. The article reports that “sudden-onset acute kidney failure can be caused by as little as a single dose of ibuprofen if the patient suffers from chronic kidney disease or lupus, or consumes a lot of alcohol”.
Crestor, a chloresterol drug, has also been discovered to cause kidney failure as well.
Also cancer drugs have been linked to possible kidney damage and kidney cancer cells have shown themselves to be resistant to chemotherapy according to http://www.livestrong.com/article/34521-side-effects-kidney-cancer-drugs/.
For more information on the side effects of different drugs, some good reference sites are HERE and HERE. Ultimately, my personal experience has pointed to the effectiveness of natural paths. One that aligns with my point of view and health results can be found HERE.
Yours in health,
